Always get your vitamins from food before supplements. Taking notice of how you prepare your vegetables is also important. In order to preserve as much of the vitamin content as possible, try steaming them.  Boiling is the worst way to cook your vegtables. This form of cooking causes the greatest loss of vitamin content because the food remains at high temperatures for a long period of time.
